Season Pass Appreciation Party

Wax your skis one more time and bust out your finest winter outfit. It’s time for the Season Passholder Appreciation BBQ. All Alpine Meadows season pass holders are invited to celebrate another great season of wintery snow activities at this annual Tahoe event that takes place this year on Sunday, April 14, 2013. The fun starts at 2pm and doesn’t stop until three fun-filled hours later at 5pm. The event is free to all season pass holders, so just look for the registration desk on the Alpine Meadows Sun Deck where the event is held.

To warm things up, the grill will be serving up tasty BBQ during the party. There will also be great food and drink specials for all pass holders. Live music will get the party bumping, with the dance-inducing grooves of the soul, funk and R&B band, Joy & Madness. While all party goers will receive a commemorative gift, there will also be exciting prize giveaways from Oakley, GoPros and CamelBaks, as well as Alpine Meadows swag and custom Alpine Meadows Moment Skis. The 2013 Season Passholder Appreciation Party is the perfect way to say goodbye to Winter and ring in Spring!

Wine and Cheese in Tahoe

Every Thursday at 3PM

Kick back and relax after a fun day on the mountain with delicious wine and cheese at the hottest food and wine event in Squaw Valley. Held every Thursday afternoon at the Uncorked Wine Bar and Shop in the Village at Squaw Valley, the wine and cheese tasting is gastro heaven with two glasses of California wine and an artisan cheese plate for only 20 bucks. The perfect spot for gathering and toasting with friends, the Uncorked Wine & Cheese Special starts at 3 pm and ends when the wine runs out. But don’t worry, it never does.

A cozy wine bar and hangout in the Village, Uncorked features fantastic wines, cheeses and wine accessories. Spring has barely sprung, but we know next winter is probably not far from your mind … more powder, new gear. You might have been eyeing some skis or boards you wanted to demo this year, right?

Well, here’s your chance. And it’s a good one!

If you’re a Ski Service Card Member join Granite Chief  in celebrating their 30th year at a Demo Day & BBQ on Saturday, April 6th. For 30 years Ski Service Card Members have been testing next year’s skis, getting a pre-season discount, and chowing down at our end of the season spring BBQ.

Granite Chief depends on your feed back on what skis you think are HOT and which are not. Your passion for skiing helps them with next year’s ski line-up.


Sign up starts at 9am in the Squaw Valley Lodge Meeting Room.

Take each ski out for 2 or 3 runs and let us know what you like.

When you purchase your skis for next year Granite Chief will give you a preseason discount and your new skis will be ready for pickup next fall.

Event runs 9am to 3pm.

With the birds chirping, and warm slopes, it’s a great time of year to pop open a chilled white or rose at apres, and we have you covered! Please join us for a wine tasting in the lobby of Squaw Valley Lodge at 4:30pm on Saturday, April 13th, hosted by Hatcher Winery. We’ll provide tasty hors d’oeuvres as well. You must be 21 years or older to attend.
