If you’re looking for the luck of the Irish, we can’t guarantee you’ll find it around Lake Tahoe on St. Patrick’s Day, but we’re sure you’ll find delicious Irish fare and traditional drinks to whet your whistle after a day of spring skiing!

St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef & Irish Special at River Ranch: Head on down to the River Ranch from 12PM-8PM, and take a seat on the deck under such sunny skies, with traditional Irish cuisine and drink specials.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Homewood & West Shore Inn: This is a great combo to quench your hunger for skiing and St. Patty’s Day food and drink! Start your day at Homewood at 9AM, where they offer their signature  ”I Shamrock Homewood” t-shirts. Once you’re off the slopes, cross the street for live music, as well as a classic corned beef and cabbage feast (until 11PM).

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Auld Dubliner: Squaw Valley’s authentic Irish pub (literally imported from Dublin, Ireland) is definitely the place to be and be seen on St. Patty’s Day! If you’re looking for the best Shephard’s Pie or Traditional Beef Stew and a Guiness on the side, then make your way here. We suggest a Black and Tan.

This fundraiser, hosted by Tahoe SAFE Alliance and Project MANA, is in its 24th year and a vital part of keeping the local community safe and fed. All proceeds benefit community programs such as violence prevention and education, and community food distribution.

Guests will enjoy a night of “Paradise Under the Stars“ inspired by the prohibition days of circa-1920 Havana. In fact, all are encouraged to dress to the nines and relish the Cuban borders opening for one night only!

It’s back, and ready to spook you to the gills!

This adults-only annual walking tour of Historic Truckee is a dynamic, exciting and dark way to walk the steps of haunted Truckee tales. The tour kicks off with a glass of wine, and winds through Downtown Truckee, stopping off at all the old haunts. Finish off your time travels at Moody’s Bistro for a raffle prize drawing.

Did you know that Oktoberfest is the largest and most famous event in Germany? It’s a 16-day festival celebrating beer, and has been a staple in Bavarian culture since 1810.

Why not raise a stein in traditional fashion and celebrate at Squaw Valley’s Oktoberfest tomorrow from 2-6pm? Unlike the events held in Munich and Bavaria, you won’t eat brats and kraut under a colorful tent, but in the open air of Lake Tahoe. The air is crisp with fall, the leaves are turning color, your stein is full of brew, and you’ll be entertained by traditional Bavarian Music and Folk Dancers.

Don’t forget the Oktoberfest Games! There’s fun for the whole family.

The Best Pies team at the 3rd Annual Truckee Chili Cookoff

A sponsored fundraiser for the Truckee-Tahoe community by the Truckee Sunrise Rotary Club, the 4th Annual Truckee Chili Cookoff  is a spicy way to turn up the heat on the local community! Local contestants compete to claim the title of “Best Chili in Truckee.” Join celebrity MC KCRA’s, Teo Torres, for an afternoon of chili tasting, sip on cold beer, and cool down your palate with sweet ice-cream.

This event also features a battle of the bands between The Deck Heads, Jo Mama, and Dancing with Clowns!
