It is a great hike – with some amazing views! I went last weekend (1/15) and really enjoyed it. There’s something about snowshoeing at night that is so calming and peaceful – I would definitely recommend making the trek!

It’s a beautiful hike. Two miles one way (4 total) and 700 foot elevation gain. We start at 8200′ so their are good views the whole way (depending on cloud cover). I would recommend age 10+ as younger kids tend to turn back early. It is important to dress in layers. I work up a sweat while snowshoe hiking but it can get windy on the ridges.
