Big Snow Storms and Big Savings at Squaw Valley Lodge!

Can we talk about the weather? Because it’s DUMPING snow at Squaw.

February is rounding out to be very wintery and full of fresh tracks.

In true Tahoe fashion, it looks like we’re headed for another Miracle March. If you want to learn all about Tahoe’s history with Miracle March read this about the 1991 March that saved Tahoe from a disastrous ski season after one of the worst droughts in California history. The Tahoe basin saw 240 inches of snow in March! So don’t you put away those skis yet.

Today’s storm could bring up to 15 inches. And then we’ll see a break in the storms for a perfect powder day tomorrow (Tuesday). Winds pick up on Wednesday for a huge storm rolling through until Friday.

2018 North Lake Tahoe SnowFest: Fun For the Family!

One of the Tahoe’s most beloved events for locals and visitors alike returns on March 1st and runs through March 11th, celebrating the beauty of the Sierras blanketed in white – a winter carnival jam packed full of activities for the whole family! Don’t miss Tahoe’s very own Mardi Gras style winter carnival.

With the recent snow and big snowstorms headed our way (we could see up to 5-8 feet of snow in a week!) we’re excited to kick off the festivities with the Polar Bear Swim and Queen Coronation hosted by Garwoods Restaurant.
